The Garrett ACE 400i is the top model in the ACE series. The metal detector belongs to the best-selling series among entry-level metal detectors. Garrett has given the most popular series an "i" update. The Garrett ACE 400i brand metal detector is characterized by the identification of objects using target IDs on the display. Even better metal discrimination is possible thanks to sharper audio tones and the proprietary "Iron Audio" tone. Precise object pinpointing is no issue thanks to the built-in PinPointer. The metal detector operates at 10 kHz, offering even more depth and sensitivity for the tiniest objects. The five preset search programs make searching even easier, as you just set them and start searching. The search depth depends on the ground conditions, search coil, and the object size. The ACE 400i can detect large objects up to a maximum of 150 cm.
Waterproof search coil

The search coil is waterproof, and you can search in shallow water at lakes or on the beach in the water. The control box must not get wet. It should be protected from rain.



Identify metals by conductor number

The "Digital Target ID" helps to identify metals. Shape, size, and type of metal determine the target ID. Iron and steel have a low target ID. Bronze, silver, lead, medium-sized jewelry, ... have a medium target ID. Gold, larger jewelry, and large coins have a very high target ID. With higher mineralization, the target ID increases.
Identify metals by sound

The ACE 400i produces three different tones. Low-conductivity objects have a low tone, medium-conductivity metals produce a mid-level tone, and high-conductivity metals result in a bell tone. Iron Audio allows particular metals to be heard (normally muted). For example, bottle caps and washers can be heard with this.
